2025 Jury

Trust in Best Label Awards® is built on transparency, passion, and a shared love for good wine. Our 2025 Jury team consists of industry professionals with experience across the wine and spirits industry, from sommelier expertise to sustainability-focused initiatives. We believe that the soul of your bottle should be front and centre, which is why our award system emphasises what truly matters: the craftsmanship, ethics, and care that goes into every bottle of wine.

Entries will be scored on a 100-point scale, considering aspects such as creativity, relevance to brand identity, craftsmanship, and market appeal. The 2025 Jury includes:

YASEMIN ASLAN BAKIRI – Turkiye

Glass Artist

Yasemin graduated from Mimar Sinan University, Faculty of Fine Arts, Ceramics and Glass Department in 1988. 

Afterwards, the artist studied Three Dimensional Design BA (Hons) at Surrey Institute of Art & Design University College in England and worked with many internationally renowned artists such as Annette Meech, Christopher Williams, David Taylor, Fleur Tookey. Since 1986, her works have been exhibited in many exhibitions and museums around the world and are in many personal collections.

The artist says, “The universe is something that cannot be defined, just like glass. I love glass. I continue to discover what a versatile and interesting material glass is.”

Aslan Bakiri continues her glass sculpture works in Istanbul. 

LINDSAY ORAM – United Kingdom

Wine Critic, Wine Writer and Judge

Lindsay has a wealth of experience in the wine trade covering judging, education and promotion. She studied grape growing and wine making at Plumpton College and has made wine in France and England. She holds the WSET (Wine and Spirit Education Trust) Honours Diploma of Wine, (winning the prize for the best individual research project). Lindsay has studied in the prestigious Master of Wine Programme. 

She is a member of both the Association of Wine Educators and Circle of Wine writers.

SEVINAY YESE-KOVATS – United States

Senior Architect

Sevinay is an international licensed American architect, originally from Istanbul, Turkiye, and a graduate of Mimar Sinan University, one of the top art and architecture schools in the country. With extensive experience in global hospitality and aviation projects, she specializes in design, construction, and project management. As a LEED Accredited Professional (LEED AP), Sevinay is also highly skilled in sustainable green design, integrating environmentally responsible practices into her work. Known for her keen eye for aesthetics and functionality, Sevinay brings a unique perspective to visual storytelling. Her deep appreciation for craftsmanship and design makes her an ideal juror for a wine bottle sticker design competition, where creativity and sustainability often intersect.

Kathleen Smith – Canada

Wine Curator, Wine Journalist and Critic

A DipWSET certified professional and a project management IT consultant that wears many hats in the wine industry – she’s a published journalist throughout Europe & USA as well as an accomplished wine judge for a number of globally recognized competitions throughout Europe, USA and Canada. She’s also a very proud ambassador for women only in wine competition, Concours Mondiale des Vins Féminalise and a blogger @thehappyvineks Fully bilingual (French and English) with proficient Spanish.

EDA YILMAZ – Turkiye

Şişecam Glass Packaging Product Design Manager

With 19 years of experience in the glass packaging design, she is a design professional dedicated to developing innovative and sustainable solutions in the FMCG sector. She leads two design teams in Türkiye and Russia, overseeing the design processes of 10 production facilities across four countries.

To date, she has registered 78 product designs and has been honored with 35 national and international awards, including prestigious recognitions such as WPO World Star, AsiaStar, and Design Turkey. She has led digital transformation projects in design, integrating technology with creativity to enhance operational efficiency.

In 2017, she was recognized as one of the ‘50 Most Influential Designers in Türkiye’ by Turkishtime Magazine. With a strategic approach that positions creativity as a key business driver and a strong belief in the transformative power of design, she continues to add value to the industry.

PHILIPPE CRAMER – Switzerland

Artist

Philippe Cramer’s creations are often described in contrasting terms, reflecting his interest in diverse artistic currents, materials, and techniques. Words like bold, whimsical, pure, minimal, baroque, and sensuous have been used to capture the essence of his work, which is characterized by a remarkable degree of creative freedom.

Philippe began his career as a designer of furniture and jewelry, crafting pieces that are both dreamlike and practical. Rather than focusing on functionality, he sought to highlight the essential nature of art, seamlessly merging different disciplines.

Today, Philippe focuses on Fine Art, using traditional craft skills and contemporary production techniques to bring his personal expressions to life. His unique approach balances the heritage of tradition with the exploration of new models, evident in both the formal aspects of his work and his philosophical outlook.
